James D. Martin

James D. Martin is a managing director at Thomas H. Lee
Partners. Prior to joining Thomas H. Lee Partners, Mr. Martin
played professionally in Major League Soccer and worked at Lehman
Brothers in its Investment Banking Division. Mr. Martin also worked
at North Bay Capital, a hedge fund.
Mr. Martin is currently a director of Prime Risk Partners. He was formally a board observer at GCA Services Group and Sterling Financial Corporation. His investment experience at Thomas H. Lee Partners also includes ABM Industries, Arden Holdings, Ceridian HCM, Comdata, First BanCorp (Puerto Rico), FleetCor Technologies, MoneyGram International and Umpqua Holdings Corporation.
Mr. Martin holds a B.S., with honors, from Rutgers University, an M.A. from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Martin is active in a number of charitable organizations including the United Way of Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
