As an Executive Partner to the Healthcare vertical, Jim works with the investment team to source and diligence deals in Identified Sector Opportunities (ISOs), including Bioprocessing. He also collaborates with both the Strategic Resource Group and portfolio management teams to develop Value Creation Plans and advise leadership on key strategic and operating decisions. Jim currently serves as a Senior Partner at Flagship Pioneering. He has over 30 years of experience, specializing in growing businesses in the medical technology industry. 

Before partnering with the THL team, Jim held several leadership roles at Global Cardiovascular Group, Boston Scientific and Bain & Company, as well as operating roles at both General Atlantic and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe. As a leader in the Global Strategy Practice at Bain, he was a trailblazer in the medical technology and pharmaceutical industry. Jim is a published author on Business and BioPharma/Medtech strategy. Formerly a member of Cornell’s Lacrosse Program, he is now an Ironman triathlete and marathoner in his spare time.
