As an Executive Partner to the Healthcare vertical, Hari advises the investment team on deals in Identified Sector Opportunities (ISOs). He also collaborates with both the Strategic Resource Group and portfolio management teams to develop Value Creation Plans and advise leadership on key strategic and operating decisions. Hari is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Tessera Therapeutics, a privately-held biotechnology company developing genetic medicines.  Hari is a global Biopharmaceutical executive with 25+ years of value creation in the pharma and biotech industry.

Before his current role, Hari served as Operating Partner at Flagship Pioneering where he helped transition Tessera from a newco to a growthco and co-founded Mirai Bio and served as its President.  He currently serves on the boards of Mirai Bio and Ring Therapeutics.  Before Flagship, Hari served as Chief Technology Officer of Spark Therapeutics and Head of Technical Development & Manufacturing at Moderna where he helped establish two new therapeutic platforms in gene therapy and mRNA.  Before Moderna, he held a variety of scientific and cross-functional leadership positions at Merck & Co in the company’s commercial, R&D and manufacturing divisions. In his spare time, Hari enjoys hiking and summited Mount Kilimanjaro last year.
