As an Executive Partner to the Financial Technology & Services vertical, Alexey works with the investment team to source and diligence deals in Identified Sector Opportunities (ISOs). He also collaborates with both the Strategic Resource Group and portfolio management teams to develop Value Creation Plans and advise leadership on key strategic and operating decisions.  Alexey is currently an active climate tech angel investor, with investments in companies working on hydrogen storage, advanced materials recycling, and quantum dots technologies. He also serves as a director at Benivo, a leading employee relocation technology platform. He brings over 20 years of experience driving growth and success in a variety of industries.

Before partnering with the THL team, Alexey held a number of leadership roles, including leading businesses acrsoss Europe and North America at Fleetcor Technologies (NYSE: FLT), a company that has become one of the leaders in the corporate payments space and is now part of the S&P 500. He also served as CFO at Maratex, a fashion retail company based in Eastern Europe, which was successfully exited by its private equity backers.

Mr. Gavrilenya also has experience as an entrepreneur, having launched a digital publishing business for the legal and accounting sectors in Belarus, which remains a market leader to this day.
